I'm Inika! Currently living in Seattle and soaking up the city’s rain and coffee. When I’m not sketching UIs or obsessing over design details, I’m cafe-hopping, painting, traveling (and clicking far too many pictures), or yelling at my TV about Ferrari’s pit-stop strategy.
As someone who's lived in six cities in the last six years, I find inspiration in diverse experiences that fuel my work. I’m passionate about creating products at the intersection of art, technology, and people. I'm excited about every touchpoint where humans and technology meet. Recently, that’s meant shaping rider experiences for autonomous vehicles at Zoox (yes, robotaxis✨).
I’m currently pursuing my MS in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington. Before that, I earned my BS in Industrial Design from Georgia Tech. I've spend the last several years designing products that bridge the gap between the physical and the digital world, and make complex technology feel more human.
I have 3 years of industry experience where I've designed in-cabin rider experiences for autonomous vehicles at Zoox, B2B web applications at JMA, and smart kitchen appliances at GE. My work has also stretched into helping clients build brands and collaborating with nonprofits. The common thread? Designing human centered experiences that drive impact.
I’ll admit—I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I sweat the details without losing the plot. I push past “good enough”—whether it’s through testing out wild ideas or fine-tuning the details. I step outside my comfort zone and go the extra mile (sometimes literally—I’ve done many intercept user studies).
My process is like a good playlist: it adapts to the moment and the people it’s for. Methods shift by project, but the core stays the same: start with empathy, map the system, prototype, test, iterate (many many times), and ship.
